A Bit About Me
Natalie Vatcher is a classically trained coloratura soprano originally from Boston, Massachusetts, who has established herself as a versatile performer both on stage and in the studio. On the West Coast, she has appeared with Guild Opera Company, Trial Run Productions, Valley Opera and Performing Arts, Ventura County Gilbert & Sullivan Repertoire Company, Pacific Opera Project, Lyric Opera of Orange County and 5-Star Theatricals. She recently made her Off-Broadway debut at the American Theatre of Actors in two original one-act operas by Brooke deRosa. Additional credits include performances with Boston Baroque, Boston Opera Collaborative, and MassOpera. Natalie holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music (B.M.) and the Longy School of Music of Bard College (M.M.).
Favorite roles include Alice in Brooke deRosa's Alice in Wonderland, Gretel in Hansel und Gretel, the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, Morgana in Alcina, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, Frasquita in Carmen, Clara in The Light in the Piazza, Flora in The Turn of the Screw, and the title role in Pauline Viardot's Cendrillon. She is currently a Resident Artist with Lyric Opera of Orange County for the 2026/2027 season. This October, Natalie will be joining 5-Star Theatricals in their production of Les Misérables (Cosette u/s, Ensemble).
As a studio vocalist, Natalie has earned praise for her "bell-like clarity of tone," versatility, and vocal agility. Her recent recording projects include National Geographic's LION, featuring an original score by Hans Zimmer, George Hutson Warren, and Niccolò Pacella, as well as Peter Webber's DRAGN, with music by Alex Heffes.
